Sharon Batamuriza is a seasoned impact investment professional and health innovation leader with extensive experience in scaling early-stage health technologies across Africa. As Fund Manager at Madiro, she oversees investments in high-impact health innovations, balancing financial returns with social impact. Sharon plays a pivotal role in identifying and supporting transformative startups that enhance healthcare delivery, financing, and supply chains across the continent.

Previously, she served as the first Director at the HealthTech Hub Africa (HTHA), where she led one of the most influential health innovation accelerators in Africa from inception, supporting 76 startups from 16 countries and managing a $1.2 million grant. Her leadership at HTHA strengthened collaborations between entrepreneurs, governments, and global health institutions, aligning digital health solutions with national healthcare priorities.

Sharon’s expertise extends to trade financing and technology, having led market expansion and investment operations at Kountable, where she helped scale trade financing across multiple African countries. She has also worked as a consultant for organizations such as Rwanda ICT Chamber and the United Nations Capital Development Fund (UNCDF), contributing to institutional development in fintech.
